AUBREY RAE DENO was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (A.L.L.) in August of 2010, less than one month after her first birthday. Aubrey’s leukemia was aggressive and she did not respond to her chemotherapy treatments initially. On December 15, 2010 she coded in her mother’s arms. Once revived, she remained in ICU in a medically induced coma with a 1%chance of survival until she received a life-saving bone marrow/stem cell transplant from a 23-year-old male donor. Aubrey is now happy, active 13-year old who is currently cancer free!
Aubrey’s struggle brought a community together to help in any way they could and they did it with great love and support. That love and support inspired Aubrey’s friends and family to form a charitable foundation to give back to the community who so lovingly and graciously supported the Beever and Deno families in their time of need.
The Aubrey's Angels Foundation was born.
